Educating the whole child.
We honor the humanity of each child and give them the support to reach their full potential. This starts by approaching learning that engages a child’s a natural curiosity for discovering themselves and the world around them. We provide a nurturing environment of belonging and connection focused on developing each child’s social-emotional and cognitive development.
Community grown.
Grown from a genuine desire to create a learning environment that meets children and families where they are in their education journey, we are a network of families that come together to provide support to the homeschool collective. Families not only contribute ideas, time, and resources but also grow and build bonds with one another. We are a tribe built on shared understanding, support, nourishment, acceptance, and connection.
An alternative to traditional methods of education
We provide a welcoming community for homeschooling families that embraces a diverse set of learning approaches geared toward child centered education. We are inspired by an array of pedagogies that are focused on embracing each child’s individual strengths and qualities and that encourages every child to take ownership of their educational journey.
Montessori Education
Purposeful and lifelong learning, in Montessori education a child has an opportunity to learn independently. Children complete daily tasks, learning that they are capable humans who can positively contribute to society. Children grow morally and spiritually, develop a lifelong love of learning, and build capacities for responsibility, creativity, self-discipline, and respect for themselves and others.
Nature-based Education
Looking to nature for inspiration and as a guide, nature-based education takes learning outdoors. It exposes children to their natural surroundings and nature-based activities, allowing their curiosity and interests to inform the learning activities.
Waldorf Education
“Engaging head, heart, and hands” — Waldorf education approaches learning that sees cognitive, emotional, and behavioral development to be connected. By focusing on a child’s imagination and emotional life, the child is able to develop their intellectual, artistic and practical abilities.
Reggio Emilia Education
Building respect, responsibility and community through exploration, discovery and play, Reggio Emilia education focuses on child-centered and experiential learning. The child activates their senses while getting opportunities everyday to fully express themselves in all possible ways.
